It comes in 3 variants - Plain Pipes, Socketed Pipes & Elastomeric Ring fit pipes, branded as Kisan Firmseal. These pipes are manufactured as per IS 4985 : 2000.
Our pipes have a life span of over 50 years if laid & buried below the ground as per prescribed standards.
Plain Pipe
Plain end pipes are supplied with one coupler for Solvent Cement Joining as per lay & joining standards.
Socketed Pipes
Kisan Self socketed pipes have one end self socketed and other end plain. It joins with the help of Solvent Cement.
Firmseal (Ringfit) Pipes:
Brief Description:
Kisan Firmseal Pipes comes with Electrometric Sealing ring which enhances the uPVC system joining specially in higher diameter pipes from 140mm - 400mm OD. Rubber sealing rings ensures the leak proof joints and easy installation. Can withstand the pressure beyond the specified testing pressure for pipes.
Kisan Rigid uPVC pipes are available in size of 20 to 400 mm and pressure rating of Class 1 to Class 6 (0.25Mpa2, 2.5 Kgf/cm2 to 1.25Mpa2, 12.5 Kgf/cm2) confirming to IS 4985 : 2000 as per application requirement.
Kisan Rigid uPVC Plain / Socketed / Firmseal pipes are used for various applications, some of its agricultural and allied applications are:

- Lower cost of Installation : Lightweight therefore they are easy to transport and carry to the site
- Flexibility :Can accommodate slight shifting of the soil, bending of the pipe up to 2 degrees per joint and tolerates small gradients in underground piping
- Immediate Testing : Pipes can be tested for ability to withstand pressure immediately on completion of installation. There is no need to wait for the joints to dry, etc.
- Maintenance Free : No painting or coating required
- Seal Rings (only for Firmseal): The rings are in accordance with IS : 5382.
It has been designed in such a way that the pipes can be installed with extreme ease & convenience & it does not require any Solvent Cement or Sealants for joining. It absorbs linear expansion, leaving the seal intact, even under extreme temperature variations. The Ring is not affected by ultraviolet radiations, bacteria, fungus or termites. Also, it is resistant to salt water, organic vegetable oils, dilute acids, dilute alkalis, aqueous chlorine and other pollutants found in typical sewage and waste water

Minimum depth of engagement
Installation: Using simple joining equipment, Kisan uPVC Firm Seal pipes can be installed with extreme convenience and speed essential in the case of large diameter.
Position of sealing ring: The sealing ring has to be inserted in the groove of the socket property. Please ensure ring is correctly positioned with its thickest edge inner most.
The temperature variation advantage in addition to the advantage of convenience, the 'Kisan' uPVC Firm Seal pipe is better able to withstand leaks caused by temperature variation.
For Plain/Socketed Pipes:
The method of joining generally recommended are:
PVC Solvent Joining, Flange Joining, Rubber ring Joining & Threaded Joining. Kisan PVC solvent Cement joining gives good result for all the sizes and should be executed as follows:
- Inspect the pipe and fittings to ensure that they match perfectly.
- Cut the pipe square using a hacksaw then remove burr & even surface using a flier.
- Sandpaper the outside and inside of fittings, wipe clean using a clean brush.
- Apply solvent cement evenly not more not less with soft brush on the outside of pipe and inside of the fittings.
- Insert the pipe in the fitting and turn it through 180° to ensure even distribution of PVC solvent Cement.
- Hold the joint for 2 minutes and ensure pipe does not slip out of fitting.
- Wipe and clean the express PVC solvent cement from entire surface of joint and keep undisturbed for at least 30 minutes.
For Kisan Firmseal:
A Six Step Simple, Easy, convenient and Speedy Process :-
- Clean inside of pipe socket and groove for FirmSeal.
- Slightly wet FirmSeal and squeeze into heart shape, position it inside the pipe socket for it to snap. (The socket is a 15° chamfer provides in the pipe.)
- Clean the pipe ends and coat it with Kisan Rubber Lubricant before pushing into the socket. Mark insertion depth if not already provided.
- Push together only up to the insertion mark to take care of expansion. For large diameter pipe, a pipe jack may be used.
- If shorter lengths are required cut off the pipe ends squarely using a fine toothed saw and miter box.
- Before inserting the cutoff pipe in the socket, its end must be deburred and chamfered approx 15°.
